Home Learning - Spring Term 2

Hello again, I hope everyone is well and had a good holiday. I hope everyone is safe and in good health. I have been busy planning another week of fun activities for both home and school. I hope the children are well and are ready to start learning again. Hopefully this will only be for only a short time longer and then we can all be back together again.

Look out for my Teams Meeting invite mid week; this week I am hoping to play a sound game with the children and a sentence writing activity. The children will need their sound cards and whiteboards for this meeting. The meeting will be at 2pm on Friday. I look forward to seeing lots of you then.

I have written a new Newsletter for our new term, check it out on the Reception page tab. It will inform you of all the learning I will be doing this term.

I'll be here next weekend with some more work; keep safe and I'll see you soon!

General information

Please check out websites that offer free resources for Home Learning and don't forget CBeebies and the BBC have televised programmes during the week that help with learning at home. You can find some free resources from these websites - Twinkl - lots of different worksheets tor download; Ruth Miskin's RWI website has some free sound work; CBeebies; Teacher's pet; Oxford Owl has got a free e-book library &  BBC website. Remember to watch BBC during the mornings to see a range of teaching programmes starting this week and don't forget to keep exercising with Joe Wicks - you can find him on YouTube. I hope this is helpful. Just Google these and they should help you to find the websites.

Please keep practicing your sounds and use the sound cards to spell simple words. Keep up with your reading and if you are able to get hold of any reading books that are similar to school, the levels we are reading are levels 2 and 3. Remember to talk about the story so the children build their understanding.

One lesson we do each day is practice our sounds, Mrs Steele has made a video for the children to help them practice all the sounds we have learnt. We hope you enjoy this.

Hope you like the story at the bottom.

Here's one of our favourite stories, I hope you like it.
