Transition Activities - UPDATED BELOW.
Year 2 will be using this page to keep you up to date on any planned transition work or activities. Miss. K will use the school system to text you when there is an update to this page. At the moment we are working hard with the children's new schools to try and make things as smooth as possible. We know it is a scary time for all involved and we promise to keep you informed as much as we can. If you have concerns or questions...you know where we are!
For now we have started to plan some of our own activities either to pass to the new school or as part of the final presentation booklet that we give to the wonderful year 2 children. Before reading the activities please read the letter to parents. Any questions - please email Miss. Black FAO: Miss. Kerwood.

UPDATE:
There are some new activities below for you to work through in preparation for making the move to year 3. The profile sheet is really important as that will contain lots of wonderful and really useful information about you that you might want to share with your next teachers. Miss. K would love to be able to pass these on before the end of the school year. If you manage to complete the profile then please send it to us or drop it off.
The English and maths booklets are for revision, they contain all the things you need to keep practising and trying to remember before you start back at school. We know you know it already but keep going over it so it 'locks in' to your brain.

It is really important that those of you that haven't completed the transition documents do so ASAP. We really need to get them sent to your new schools. The most important bits are the portrait, the letter, the recount, the proud cloud and the profile. Miss. K went to Mundy this week to give them some information about all of you. They are so excited to meet you all and they have lots of exciting things planned for you. It sounds like they have some wonderful teachers, some really fantastic topics and clubs that you will all enjoy. Miss. K knows you are going to love it. They are prepared for the fact that you will all be a little nervous but they have lots of lovely things in place to help you. Miss. K was so proud to be able to sit with the staff there and tell them how amazing you are, how hard you work, how thoughtful you are, how much you smile and laugh, how many different talents you all have and how incredibly kind you all are. They will be so lucky to have you all in September, just like we have been lucky to have you this year.
