School Work Week 6

Hello Year 2

It was so nice to speak to some of you this week. I am sorry I didn't get to speak to all of you but I will call you this week. Thank you to those of you that have sent in work and lovely letters. I will write back this week.

After speaking to your grown ups I have realised that some of you are struggling to get everything done. Don't worry - do what you can. I always say to you that we are all happy if you just try. We know it is hard trying to work from home and it is also hard to do work when you think it isn't being marked. We will eventually see it all but in the meantime...please PLEASE send us anything you would like us to see straight away or email school if you are really stuck. I promise to help as much as I can. In order to lessen the pressure, I have put a little less on but there's still more than enough to keep you busy. If you need more though, let me know. Some of you are choosing to do your learning in really creative ways and we LOVE  that. Keep doing what you're doing. You are ALL amazing.

We are still missing you loads so....

KEEP WATCHING THE WEBSITE: This week we will be uploading more fantastic work from you all AND some VERY special messages from all of us in the Year 2 teaching team. I will send a text out when they are uploaded.

A huge well done to you all for doing so much at home. It was so nice to hear what you have been doing, talk to your grown ups about how well you're managing and get so many lovely emails with work on.

MATHS: Complete the Quick Maths document in your books. There is also some fraction and some time work to complete. It was the last thing we did before the break so this will refresh your memory.

PHONICS + SPELLINGS: Keep doing as you are doing.

LITERACY: There is a document with some literacy challenges on. Work your way through these this week in which ever order you fancy.

SCIENCE: There is a document about 'BIG Questions', have a read of that and then get your thinking caps on!

PE: There are more circuit training documents for you to have a go at. The weather is great at the moment so I am sure you're all outside a lot, keep active and make sure you get lots of fresh air! Enjoy your local outdoor spaces as much as possible.

MUSIC: Thursday is International Jazz Day - have a look at the document and get you best listening ears ready. There are some questions at the end to work through.

TOPIC: This week it's all about dance. Wednesday is International Dance Day so get ready to boogie. Have a look at the document, before Wednesday -  work through that and then get your dancing shoes on! I will be practicing my Floss and Macarena on Wednesday!

READING: Keep reading as much as you can, we will be updating the reading rainbow as soon as things get back to normal - I bet you're all on gold by now. Let us know what you are reading.

CHALLENGE: Have a read through the challenge document - we need your help with the garden!

Good luck, keep working hard, stay safe and stay home.

We hope to see you really soon.

Miss. K, Mrs. C and Mrs. H xx :)
