School Work Week 9
Hello again year 2!! How are you all? Missing us? We miss you!
Week 9...can you believe it?! We have all LOVED seeing all your amazing work coming in this week. We have been really busy trying to get it all on the website, we still have a little more to do but we will get it all on soon. Thank you so much for continuing to send your work in. We really do love to see it all. You're all FANTASTIC!!
I know some of you will be upset and discombobulated about what is currently being said by the Government regarding the children who can return to school in June. We are all very upset too but we have to trust that the Government are making decisions in your best interest. If anything changes we promise to update you as soon as we know. For now...let's make sure we all keep in touch, stay safe, stay smiley and be kind to ourselves. We are keeping everything crossed (fingers, toes, arms, legs and even our eyes) that we get to see you before the end of the school year. If we can't then we will try to mark the end of the year in some way. Try not to be disheartened by the news, stay positive and think about why it is happening - we are still trying to keep safe. Miss. K is hoping that she will be able to speak to most of you this week or the first week back after "half term".
So here we go again...work for week 9.
LITERACY: There are 5 documents for this week. Some are SPAG and some are Reading Comprehension. Please complete them all throughout the week.
PHONICS + SPELLING: Same as always - keep up the great work.
MATHS: There is the usual Quick Maths paper as well as 2 arithmetic papers to access throughout the week. We hope you are all continuing to practice your times tables.
TOPIC: This month is National Smile Month, International Museum Day and Outdoor Classroom Day. You have a series of tasks relating to all of them.
Please make sure you carry on making lots of time for PE, Music, Art and Mindfulness. It is really important to try and get some exercise and creativity into every day as well as keeping up with reading and your times tables. You can use the documents from previous weeks for continued ideas or let us know what you are already doing. Geography and History will be covered in the topic work you do every week.
We can't wait to see what you do this week. Check the website later this week for another message from the Year 2 team as well as some new incredible work from all of you. You are making us all SO SO proud. What a fantastic class you all are. Keep it up and as always....THANK YOU GROWN UPS! You have been teaching almost as much as we have since we came back in January. Give yourselves a massive pat on the back (and a big glass of something tasty!)
