Have you got a child at Corfield Church of England Infant School, or are you a member of staff? Then you are a member of the Parent Friend Association (PFA).
What does the PFA Do?
Raises money through fun events:
The Summer Fayre
Helps the school - it's easy:
Spend an hour in the classroom listening to children read.
Give things - 'junk' for modelling, wool, old socks, etc.
support activites, help on school trips, support clubs.
Uses money raised to enrich the children's education:
Books & Science equipment
Resources for numeracy
Coaches for trips
How you can get involved:
Come to a meeting
If you have a child at the school or if you are member of staff you are very welcome to come to any meeting. The PFA meets regularly to decide how to raise funds. Smaller groups meet at other times too to plan particular events.
Volunteer to help at an event:
Run a stall for a hour at the Summer Fair
Help set up the Craft fair
All these jobs (and lots more) have to be done if we are to continue to give the children's education the support it deserves.
The PFA are looking for new members as we do have a small but committed team who are working really hard to give the children at Corfield lots of things to look forward to.
If you’re interested in getting involved with the PFA or would like more information please don’t hesitate to speak to the school office or your child’s class teacher or please feel free to come to the next meeting; check the PFA noticeboard for the date of our next meeting.
